X3F DNG Select Support

Basic workflow
- Choose a folder containing X3F or supported DNG files with Open Folder. Press Command-Shift-G in the picker to enter a path.
- Compare in 1-up, 2-up, or 4-up view. Use 1 for Accepted, 2 for Hold, 3 for Rejected, and 0 for Unreviewed.
- Use
[and]to rotate only the display by 90°. - Choose Copy Accepted to Selected from Output to create copies of accepted original RAW files.
RAW image contents are not edited. Files are copied or moved only when you explicitly run the operation after reviewing its preview. Version 1.0.3 does not provide Trash deletion. The app never silently overwrites a same-named file. Verify the completed, failed, and skipped counts and check Selected after copying.
Supported files
Verified with representative real files: X3F from SIGMA DP1 Merrill and DP3 Merrill cameras; DNG from a SIGMA fp L.
Embedded JPEG previews are preferred. Support for every X3F, DNG, camera, firmware, or shooting mode is not guaranteed. The app does not generate a new DNG from X3F sensor data.
Known limitations
- Damaged files, untested cameras, and unusual X3F/DNG variants may not display or may have incomplete Exif.
- Preview color, tone, apparent detail, and Exif can differ from final RAW-processing results.
- Insufficient storage, permissions, external/network-volume disconnection, or sleep can interrupt copying.
- The direct DNG parser does not support BigTIFF or JPEG previews split across multiple strips or tiles.
FAQ
Why is there no preview?
See Supported Files and Important Information in the app. Unsupported and damaged files produce a per-file error.
Does copying change the source?
No. The app creates a duplicate in Selected, skips identical content, and gives different same-named files a numbered name.
Can I enter a folder path?
Press Command-Shift-G in the folder picker and enter the path.

You do not need to attach a private photograph publicly. If you send a RAW file, confirm that you may share it.
